The classical theory, also known as the traditional theory of organisation or management has been used as the analytical tool for this work because the tenets of the theory tie with the work in question. This theory was propounded by Fredrick c. Taylor, Henry Fayol, Max Weber, L.Urwick, James.C. Moneny and Pveiley and breach in the late 19th century part of 20th century. It places emphasis on the planning of how the technical requirements of the organization, and principal of management, there assumption of national and logical behaviour, it was thought that clear understanding of the purpose of the organisation is essential to understand how the organization works out its methods of working can be improved. Identification of general objectives would leads to the clarification of purpose and responsibilities at all levels of the organization and to the most attention to the division of works, the clear definition of duties and responsibilities, specialization and co-ordination. They laid emphasis on hierarchy of management and formal organizational relationship.

A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF COMPUTER SCIENCE, INTEGRATED SCIENCE AND ENGLISH LANGUAGE OF JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN ENUGU NORTH LGA

This research work was conducted to ascertain the comparative analysis of academic performance in English language and computer science in junior secondary school, Enugu North Educational Zone. A survey design was adopted for the study. A sample of 42 teachers both English language and computer science 110 students were drawn from 7 (seven) junior secondary schools in Enugu North. A structured Questionnaire was used to collect data and data collected were analyzed using frequency and percentage. The finding of the study showed that lack of quality instructional materials in the school can cause poor performance of students, inability of a teacher to give test and assignment to student will make student dull in their study, effectiveness of note making and note taking by the student will activate their attitude of learning, continuous assessment tasks practicing will embark on the academic performance and government should make incentive regular payment of salaries and allowances to the teacher to motivate them into effective teaching.

A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF WELL BEHAVED AND DELINQUENT STUDENTS

The study focused on the comparative analysis of the academic performance of the well-behaved and delinquent students, in Esan-West Local Government Area. Three research questions were used to guide the study. The sample of the study comprised of one hundred and fifty (150) students who are senior secondary two of five selected secondary schools in Esan-West Local Government Area. Data for this study was collected using questionnaire and the response was based on a 4-point Likert scale of Always true AT, Often true OT, Sometimes true ST and Never true NT. Data collected were analyzed using T-test. The findings revealed that; there is no difference in the academic performance of well-behaved boys and delinquent boys, there is no difference in the academic performance of well-behaved girls and delinquent girls and there is no difference in the academic performance of students from intact and broken homes.

A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF CAREER ASPIRATIONS OF STUDENTS IN RURAL AND URBAN SCHOOLS

This study attempted to examine whether there is a relationship between school location and career aspirations of students. Some related and relevant literature were reviewed under sub headings such as the concept of career and career choice, theories of career choice, peer influence on career choice among others. The descriptive research survey design was used to assess the opinions of the randomly selected respondents with the aid of a questionnaire and the sampling technique. A total of 120 (one hundred and twenty) respondents were selected as samples for the study. Five null hypotheses were formulated and tested using the frequency percentages, ranking and the Pearson Product Moment Correlation Statistical tool at 0.05 level of significance.

A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE IN FOOD AND NUTRITION IN WAEC & NECO EXAMINATIONS FROM 2006-2011

This paper compares and examines the performance of secondary school students who were candidates in food and nutrition examinations of both the West African Examination Council (WAEC) and National Examination Council (NECO) from 2003-2012. Through quantitative analysis, the researcher thoroughly examined and analyzed results and statistics from both examining bodies in Nigeria, and to also identify margin of errors recorded in the chosen study areas. The researcher undertook a quantitative analysis of the performance of candidates who wrote the food and nutrition examinations in the following states-Kano, Lagos, Enugu, Akwa-Ibom and Rivers State so as to establish their comparability for control purposes. The research design was correlation. A sample of 347,609 candidates was drawn from a population of 1,422,133 examination candidates using a purposive sampling technique.
